Where conventional fabric covered hoses are used in mining applications, they quickly become frayed on the cover as well as being very heavy, especially when wet. Conventional blue lay flat hose similarly lacks durability in a mining application.  Black dragon hoses now feature new “through-the-weave” construction along with a nitrile/PVC blend rubber compound, which completely encases the jacket to provide a long lasting hose suitable for many applications including highly abrasive  activities encountered in mining without adding significant weight. Black Dragon discharge hose assemblies are supplied with crimped male and female aluminum cam-locks for maximum fitting retention.
